Alcumus SafeContractor Launches New PQQ Offering

Find out about Alcumus SafeContractor’s new online product, Safe PQQ, which will be launching this spring.

Award-winning accreditation scheme Alcumus SafeContractor has extended its offering beyond health and safety to give clients greater visibility of the compliance risks within their supply chain.

SafePQQ is an online platform which has been set up to provide a way of verifying commitment to best practice, cost effectively and quickly, for businesses and contractors. Built to include the common question sets defined within PAS91, SafePQQ collects and verifies information including financials, environmental management, quality management, equality, modern slavery, anti-bribery and GDPR.

Contractors sign up and submit their details once a year, giving businesses confidence that they have the most up to date information on their supply chain compliance and helping them make informed decisions on their procurement choices.

The new product also makes the procurement process more manageable for contractors, reducing the need for them to provide compliance information to various clients at different times to win new business opportunities.

The launch of the new product comes after months of consultation and feedback from Alcumus SafeContractor clients who admit to needing greater transparency from their supply chain across all aspects of their business operations.

Gemma Archibald, Managing Director of Alcumus SafeContractor, said: “There is an increasing need for organisations to ensure their supply chains are compliant across all trading practices.

“This can be very daunting for businesses to manage but is absolutely necessary given the risks associated with non-compliance.

“SafeContractor has 20 years of experience helping businesses manage their complex supply chains ensuring they are safe to partner with, so it was a natural step for us to extend our offering beyond core health and safety topics.

“This new product will support businesses in every sector to pre-qualify their supply chain so that they can choose to work only with contractors who share mutual values and are operating safely, sustainably and ethically.

“By outsourcing the whole PQQ process to us, we’ll be able to save our clients’ time, money and effort, enabling them to use their valuable resources to add greater value to their businesses.

“We’ve been overwhelmed with the feedback from our clients so far and we’re delighted that we can further build on our working relationships with clients.  We are very excited about this next step in our journey of building a better working world for everyone: one that’s safer, healthier and stronger.”
