T&S Security Systems show clients they’re safe, stable and ethical

Established in 2013, South Lanarkshire-based T&S Security Systems specialise in the installation, repairs, and maintenance of door entry systems and access control.

Over the past 8 years, Managing Director Tony Sinclair has established the company in the market and gain the trust of the T&S Security Systems client base. 

8 years of accreditation

Having first achieved SafeContractor when the business started, they have used their approved status to demonstrate their capabilities to clients.

“Health and Safety accreditation is an essential part of our business as a contractor. All our clients ask their contractors to hold SSIP accreditation and some specify SafeContractor.

“I am delighted and very humbled by the fact that all of the clients that I started with back in 2013 are still a huge part of my business to this day, and for that, I am truly thankful” comments Tony.

T&S Security Systems initially looked to gain SafeContractor accreditation as their clients were asking for it specifically. Since then, they have gained the rewards SafeContractor can bring.

“SafeContractor helps promote a professional image for the company and demonstrates that we are safe, compliant, and ethical” explains Tony. 

Putting in the work

Working in a competitive market means accreditation is a differentiator for T&S Security Systems, but the hard work Tony has put into the business has really been the driving force.

“During these troublesome times, I feel personally that my biggest achievement is having a successful business that has been running for nearly a decade.

“Never give up and keep going. I am a great believer of the saying – “Whatever doesn’t break you, makes you!” adds Tony. 

Health and safety support from Alcumus PSM

T&S Security Systems also receive dedicated health and safety support from Alcumus PSM.

“It was a logical choice to go with Alcumus PSM for my health and safety support, they offer a range of services that met my needs. As I already held my SafeContractor accreditation with Alcumus, it’s nice to have it all in one place.”

T&S Security System’s dedicated consultant Gary Graham helps them with implementing Health and Safety Policies/Procedures and annual health and safety updates.

Additionally, Gary helps them obtain other health and safety accreditation and general advice.

“Gary was excellent throughout the past 12 months with all the support he has given, in particular when helping us implement COVID-19 risk assessments, policies, and procedures and keeping us updated on current H&S matters when rules/regulations were changing daily” comments Tony.

Gary has also helped T&S Security Systems with its SafeContractor accreditation.

Tony explains, “when specific information is asked for our accreditation, our consultant is able to deal with the auditor at SafeContractor on our behalf and determine exactly what is needed. He then works with us in implementing the necessary policies / procedures.

Being able to contact a qualified professional, and having their expertise on hand when needed, is the best service money can buy.” 

T&S Security System’s advice for contractors looking to gain accreditation

“Whether your company has one employee or thousands of employees, health and safety must always be at the forefront of your everyday business operations.

“I would encourage contractors to obtain SafeContractor accreditation as it not only helps your business achieve compliance, but it also gives your clients (new and existing) the added peace of mind that they are instructing a reputable and suitably qualified contractor.
