contractor accreditation

How does it work?

Each contractor is assigned a Technical Support Officer (TSO) and an Auditor who work with them to make sure the necessary paperwork and documentation is complete, providing one-to-one support throughout.

The accreditation process couldn’t be easier.

  • Step 1. Choose a plan from Standard, Assisted, Express or Premier and register with us. Once your registration is complete, it’s time for the audit process.

  • Step 2. One of our TSOs will call to help build your profile with SafeContractor. This includes building your profile by selecting your core work categories, the industries you operate in and the risks related to your activities.

  • Step 3. Complete the questionnaire and submit to us.

The Accreditation Process

  • Step 4. Your TSO will review your questionnaire to check all relevant, in date documents have been provided, and send it onto an Auditor for a detailed review. If anything is missing, we will explain what is needed and direct you to guidance and templates where applicable

  • Step 5. Once the Auditor has all the information required, they’ll complete a detailed review of your questionnaire. They may come back to you requesting more information.

  • Step 6. When your Auditor is happy you meet the assessment criteria, they’ll issue the accreditation, which will last for 12 months.
