Nobody goes to work to get injured. However, figures show that 581,000 workers sustained injuries in 2018/2019, 147 fatally. For most businesses, zero accidents and lost working days is the ultimate goal. While this may seem like an impossible objective for most organisations, it still remains the goal to aspire to. With 70% of accidents related to temporary works, better contractor management may have the biggest impact on achieving ‘target zero’.

In March-May 2020 Alcumus SafeContractor conducted a survey with SHP to understand the specific challenges and risks around contractor management, as well as exploring the tools and techniques which firms are using to address these challenges.

In this webinar, you will learn:

The impact on COVID-19 on attitude towards vetting contractors for Health, Safety, Ethical and Sustainable factors.

The top challenges EHS managers face when managing contractors.

Tools and techniques EHS managers use to source and manage contractors, and how this may change in a post-COVID-19 environment.

Hosted by Ian Hart, Editor at SHP online.

Gemma Archibald, Managing Director, Alcumus SafeContractor.

Nick Turnbull, UK HSES&S Manager, AkzoNobel.

Angela Roberts, Group Head of Health and Safety, NEC Group.
