Paramount Interiors, the fastest growing commercial interiors specialist in South Wales and the South West, today announced that it has selected Alcumus SafeContractor, the UK’s leading health and safety accreditation company, for both its sub-contractor management system and contractor accreditation.

Construction sites are busy and complex workplaces where workers face many hazards. The HSE estimate there were 79,000 work-related ill health cases for the construction industry in 2018/191. Many of these are down to unsafe work practices which can be avoided with the correct education and precautions. Paramount Interiors today announce it has partnered with SafeContractor to signal to customers it is uncompromising when it comes to health and safety.

Richard Jones, Managing Director at Paramount Interiors commented, “Our diverse client base ranges from major law and accountancy firms to public bodies and global manufacturers, but all expect the same high-quality standards. As we continue our expansion, we were seeking a partner to continually improve our health and safety standards in-line with our long-term plans. SafeContractor was the obvious choice for a number of reasons.”

“First, as a contractor tendering for these types of companies, SafeContractor is the go-to Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) standard in our industry.”

“Secondly, with SafeContractor, we can quickly and easily source accredited contractors from their 33,000 members. This means we can protect our reputation and save time when vetting subcontractors, for policies like financial background, quality, environment, modern slavery and more. Of course, we get added peace of mind that the sub-contractors we work with across the UK are fully compliant with the law for health and safety, and working to the highest standards.”

Gemma Archibald, Managing Director of Alcumus SafeContractor said: “As the latest HSE statistics suggest, appropriate health and safety vetting of your supply chain is essential to minimise the risks to individuals and your business.”

“We’re thrilled that Paramount Interiors has joined a growing number of construction companies choosing SafeContractor, increasing 31% year-on-year. More than 400 leading organisations have selected SafeContractor to become safer, healthier and stronger.”
