This entails having suitable risk assessments and method statements in place as well as having public liability insurance and health and safety policies prior to attending site.

Greggs have selected SafeContractor to be our certification entity and on our behalf they will perform these checks on potential and current contractors who will be working on our sites.

By outsourcing the health and safety pre-qualification of our contractors to SafeContractor, we will be able to better manage our supply chain and improve our compliance with health and safety legislation.

Greggs will be able to use SafeContractor to manage existing contractors through an online portal, and source new contractors from the 37,000 approved members.

This will help to bridge the gap between procurement and Health and Safety and ensure all contractors are working to a high standard.
