Icon Exhibitions & Display Ltd has again achieved UK-leading SafeContractor accreditation.
Icon Exhibitions & Display Ltd is an established, full-service exhibition contractor, based in Cannock, Staffordshire. For the last 25 years, Icon Exhibitions has helped national and international clients with the design, manufacture and installation of custom exhibition stands and bespoke displays at venues in the UK and around the world.
Icon Exhibitions & Display Ltd stands out with SafeContractor accreditation
Wayne Ball, Managing Director of Icon Exhibitions says: “We are delighted to have been awarded SafeContractor approved status for a second year. We joined the SafeContractor health and safety assessment scheme in 2018 and have worked hard to achieve and maintain this accreditation, as it highlights to our clients that we are responsible contractors who take our health and safety responsibilities seriously.
“Achieving SafeContractor accreditation enables us to demonstrate a uniform standard of health and safety compliance across our business to new and existing clients. This is hugely important with what we do, as we exhibit at various venues around the world. Being SafeContractor accredited assures our clients that we can undertake our work safely, wherever they need us to.”
SafeContractor, the UK’s leading health and safety accreditation, verifies an organisation’s health and safety compliance and connects contractors to leading organisations through an online portal. This showcases their profile to hundreds of companies that only work with our 33,000 SafeContractor members, saves time and money when bidding on new tenders and gives them the peace of mind that their health and safety practices are compliant with the law.
Gemma Archibald, Managing Director of Alcumus SafeContractor, says: "No-one goes to work to get injured. Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place.
“SafeContractor plays a vital role in supporting our clients in meeting their compliance needs, whilst working with their contractors as they progress through the accreditation process. During the current economic impact of COVID-19 it’s more important than ever that contractors enhance their reputation and win work by continuing to demonstrate their commitment to delivering the highest standards of health and safety compliance.”
How Icon Exhibitions & Display Ltd is starting to safely return to work
Icon Exhibitions & Display Ltd should’ve been celebrating its 25th year designing, manufacturing and installing exhibitions. Instead, coronavirus hit, putting the exhibition industry out of action.
Icon has spent time during the pandemic ‘inventing’ rather than ‘eventing’, coming up with ideas to utilise the company’s skills. The team of talented creative designers, tradespeople and project managers has been undertaking different types of work to keep the business operational until exhibitions start again, including graphics and signage, commercial refits and interiors and manufacturing bespoke items.
Due to the current push to help businesses get back to work, Icon has started manufacturing free-standing, counter-top and wall-mounted handwashing and sanitising stations, to help companies keep employees and visitors safe. Icon customises these with brand logos and messages for its business clients, and has created some own-branded ones to help keep Icon’s head office a clean and safe place to be.
Wayne Ball says: “We have undertaken risk assessments and followed the official guidance to provide a safe work environment, to protect our staff and visitors as we take steps to get back to business. But, like everyone, we’re just really looking forward to a time when the world can return to something much more normal.”
